Lisbon's oldest neighborhood, Castles, and Fado music!
After a rainy day on Thursday, and a well-deserved day off, we hit the streets on Friday to check out Alfama, the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon. We ended up stumbling upon a castle and walked right in without a line! Lots of beautiful views there... and peacocks!
Then we stopped at a bar with the coolest employees who entertained us with slapstick gags. After that, we went home to get ready to go watch some Fado music. It was stunning. We became acquainted with our table neighbors there, and then headed out for a post-dinner drink at a bar in the neighborhood. We had some awesome conversations until our new friends left.
Then we hung out with the bartender until 4 am, as he showed us Lisbon's late-night hotspots. Not bad!
